Route 1 — Via Franklin Turnpike
Take Main Street east, then turn right onto Franklin Turnpike. After two miles, turn right onto Allendale Ave. Drive past the first few buildings on the right, then turn right into our parking lot. We're at 70 W Allendale Ave.

Local History
Before European settlers arrived, the area now known as Ramsey was home to the Lenape Native Americans. With deep historical roots, Ramsey boasts landmarks like the Old Stone House — a Dutch farmhouse built in the early 1700s using local stone. Once a tavern during the Revolutionary War, the site is steeped in legend, including tales of Aaron Burr stopping there on his way to court his future wife.
Ramsey earned its name from Peter J. Ramsey, a 19th-century landowner whose property became the location of "Ramsey's Station" when the railroad expanded in 1848. In the years that followed, Ramsey grew into a hub for agriculture, particularly known for its booming strawberry industry. At its peak, millions of baskets of strawberries were shipped from Ramsey to New York City by train each season.
Though the farms and berry patches have long since given way to homes and modern developments, Ramsey's agricultural legacy lives on in its charm and community spirit.
